I paid $300 for a nice string library VST (Cinematic Strings), and then discover it is annoying as heck to use in Sibelius for playback. When I use Cinematic Strings (through Kontakt 5 plugin) as VST in Sibelius 7.1, I experience a very strange thing that i never see with other VSTs (EWQL Symphonic Orchestra, Kontakt 4 VSL library, Ivory Pianos II, BEST Engine, etc- this literally is happening only with Cinematic Strings using Kontakt 5)- when I playback the score, I have no way to stop the playback, no way to pause the playback, without Sibelius being 'frozen' like an old 33-1/3 LP record album caught on repeat with a scratch on the album and bad needle that just keeps repeating the same note, until i press the 'p' key again. 7.1: Cinematic Strings will not die ! - Peter Roos, 12 Jul 06:06PM 7.1: Cinematic Strings will not die ! - randall999, 12 Jul 04:54PM 7.1: Cinematic Strings will not die ! - Jonathan Loving, 12 Jul 04:31PM 7.1: Cinematic Strings will not die ! - randall999, 12 Jul 04:28PM 7.1: Cinematic Strings will not die ! - Jonathan Loving, 12 Jul 03:56PM 7.1: Cinematic Strings will not die ! - randall999, 12 Jul 03:54PM 7.1: Cinematic Strings will not die ! - Peter Roos, 12 Jul 03:38PM 7.1: Cinematic Strings will not die ! - randall999, 12 Jul 01:21PM 7.1: Cinematic Strings will not die ! - randall999, 11 Jul 11:51PM 7.1: Cinematic Strings will not die ! - David William Hearn, 11 Jul 10:22PM 7.1: Cinematic Strings will not die ! - Martin P. 7.1: Cinematic Strings will not die ! - randall999, 11 Jul 06:15PM 7.1: Cinematic Strings will not die ! - randall999, 11 Jul 05:16PM 7.1: Cinematic Strings will not die ! - Peter Roos, 11 Jul 03:54PM 7.1: Cinematic Strings will not die ! - randall999, 11 Jul 10:39AM Full and Lite Ensemble patches streamline your workflow and are ideal for sketching or filling a track.Messages in this thread Sib. We painstakingly recorded real legato transitions for each note, up and down, including a beautiful portamento. … These and many more features are available through the main GUI page.ĬSS has a stunningly realistic legato engine. That means a short but nice patch list, easily assignable key switches and MIDI CCs, and a mixer with output routing options and reverb.
